Postdoctoral Research Associate – Engineering

Prof. Chao Zhou is the principal investigator on a multi-investigator, interdisciplinary project to advance technology for optical coherence tomography imaging. This project will focus on developing optical imaging tools to facilitate the diagnosis of eye diseases in human subjects. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team, including collaborators in engineering, ophthalmology, and pediatrics. As a translational engineering lab, the successful candidate will work on projects that have high potential to generate new products and impact patients, including children and adults. The Zhou team aims to foster a diverse, equitable, inclusive, and supportive environment in which team members work together to creatively solve major medical challenges.

Administrative Coordinator (Hybrid) – Engineering

The Administrative Coordinator will support the daily operations and future planning of the project’s team and the Director/Principal Investigator. Due to the project’s interdisciplinary collaboration and organizational needs among multiple research labs and institutions, this position will be key to ensuring Director scheduling, research team communication and travel, including and appropriate task milestone. Working closely with the Director, the investigator teams, ARPA-H staff, and other project personnel, this person will coordinate the Director’s calendar, routine research meetings, maintain online presence, as well as assisting with recruitment, hiring and management of personnel.

Grant Specialist II (Hybrid) – Biomedical Engineering

The Grant Specialist II will manage a portfolio of faculty post award and payroll sourcing activities with minimal supervision/oversight within a large, research-intensive department. Position will manage financial aspects of $20 million ARPA-H grant along with other sponsored projects for department faculty.

Research Project Manager – Engineering

Manages daily operations of the program’s projects. Ensures team communication, programming, and financial management. Key responsibilities include assistance with compliance, budget and accounting matters, personnel recruitment and hiring, IACUC, IRB and FDA application coordination, oversight of personnel, liaison to all internal and external stakeholders, and preparation of sponsor reports. Manages progress by ensuring project goals and milestones are on track. Supports technology development and innovation by managing invention disclosures, technology licensing and registration.
